WAKAKIRRI 2019

**UPDATE**

We have also been nominated for a National Award (one of only 6 nominated in SA) for the STORY OF THE YEAR Award.  Results will be announced in October - we will keep you all updated.  A fabulous achievement - well done team!!

On Wednesday 21 August, our Year 2 Wakakirri performers finally had their chance to strut their stuff on stage at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

Amongst numerous strong acts from various other SA schools (public and private) our students presented their item with lots of enthusiasm, confidence and enjoyment.

Many parents and friends as well as staff were in the audience and were most impressed with how our little students represented our school and the resilience they showed with all of their rehearsing and preparation for their big moment.

Their efforts were recognised at the end of the night with the awarding of

Best Minimal Use of Sets, Props and Costumes Award

and

Participation Award

Congratulations to all of the performers, Mr Josh Haynes (Performance CoOrdinator), supporting parents and staff, and audience members.

What a fantastic effort ... Well Done!!
